e-Invoicing with Adobe

As many people know, e-Invoicing is gaining a lot of traction these days in order to save money. In general many of the solutions use PDF as the format for the electronic invoice. But there is PDF and PDF. We have created a sample electronic Invoice in PDF format that is more then just a digital invoice, and also focuses on the experience of the recipient in addition to the ability to exchange structured data. Have a look at a video that includes a demo. If you would like to download the sample and play with it yourself, here it is.

    Hi

I would like to know, if I use the e-Invoicing, must the client also have Adobe acrobat on his computer?

And can it be used in Flex builder 3?

    Regards

    Paula

    Hi Paula,

Thanks for your comment. The solution for e-Invoicing as described in the article and video is fully based on PDF which can be opened by anybody with the free Adobe Reader on his computer. There is no need for Adobe Acrobat on the receiving side, for instance the customer.

The scenario mentioned above is built using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES and the data is based on XML. As you might know, these templates (XDP) can also be deployed as a form-guide that is basically a Flex application. In addition I can imagine various interesting scenario’s where applications based on Flex are part of an e-Invoicing solution.

    Greetings,

    Marcel

In the end it’s just javascript, so you can be creative with that to accomplish this.

    Greetings,

    Marcel
